Ever wanted to try La Ronde? Now you can in this one night, three hour workshop at the Improv Resource Center:
Learn La Ronde, a deceptively simple improv form based on a play of the same name. It’s a chain of 2 person scenes where one character is replaced each scene. The circle of characters eventually wraps around until one of the characters from the first scene meets one from the last. When done properly, each new scene expands the world of the characters, always trying to answer the question, “What don’t we know?”
In this three hour intro, you will learn the basics of the form and get several opportunities to try it out. You can find out more about La Ronde at the IRC Wiki, or listen to a interview with Craig Cackowski who came up with the form.
If you already know and love the form, you are welcome to come and get some reps as well.
Class size will be limited to 12 students.
