At this year’s Improv Fest Ireland, I’ll be teaching a workshop on the monoscene, a form that I helped pioneer in New York at the UCB Theater with a group called the Swarm.
A monoscene is like a Harold stripped of all the conventional improv edits that we use like wipes and tagouts. Instead the only edits are entrances or exits. It resembles a one act play where every time there is a new combination of characters on stage, there is a new scene with a new game and a new dynamic to be explored.
My workshop will be on Saturday 12th November 2-5PM (Marxist Hall Space) in Dublin. For more info check out the website for Improv Fest Ireland.
