ZombieShark is hosting Killer Pussy AND Philly's first Improv Free-For-All this Saturday night at the Shubin Theater!

What is an Improv Free-For-All, you ask? Good question! Any and ALL improvisers, including - improv students, college groups, High School players, already established improv groups or any combination of the above - are invited to come and work out their improv kinks, gain some real life performing experience, work out a new group, a new game or simply wanna play nicely with others... please come and join us at the Shubin on Saturday from 8pm to 10pm.

All you have to do is show up and sign up!

Will there be an audience? Another good question! Well, we dunno - we will be inviting everyone on our email list and everyone we bump into on the street. If you plan on coming, bring some people with you, and YES, there will be an audience. It will be a PASS THE HAT show - meaning ... do pay what ya do want ... and don't pay what ya dont want!

How will the night work? Wow! You are just chock full of good questions! Killer Pussy takes the stage first at 8pm and kicks off the fun, then ZombieShark brings their fast-paced, audience-driven brand of improv comedy to the stage. Then Rick Horner will host the rest of the evening by calling up the next group on the list ... and so on and so forth.

* Each group's performance time will depend on how many people sign up. ZombieShark wants to make certain that each group gets their "up", so please be considerate when doing your set.

I had to go to my kid brother's birthday last night (I was the chaperone for him and his friends) but how did this go?

I was also getting drunk with high school kids. I hope it was fun and maybe some newcomers got a chance to do the improvs with some o' y'all.

This was a lot of fun. Killer Pussy and Zombie Shark had some fun sets. Our favorite action/adventure heroines had a great corollation between neandrathal social circles and tea ladies with STDs. ZShark did a series of longform scenes using the shortform game of Good Cop/Bad Cop as the inspiration... it was cool to watch them explore that.

Rick, Cubby, Tommy and myself did this very strange piece that was somewhat existential and included stick bugs, dog-boys and an accursed plastic cup that was determined to thwart our every move.

Then Rick led individual games where all kinds of new people got on stage to play games and have fun. Met many new people... good night for networking.
