Karen is a thrice Barrymore nominated choreographer and improviser. Her most recent choreographic work includes; "The Big Bang" (Act II and The Kimmel Center), "Always a Lady" (1812), "Whores" (Interact) and "Grease" and "Grease and Desist" (Brat Productions/Tapestry Theatre.) She is co-artistic director of Tapestry Theatre and a member of the improvisational comedy groups, Comedysportz, Lunchlady Doris, Killer Pussy and Choosical. She is the recent recipient of a 2005/2006 grant from The Philadelphia Theatre Initiative (funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts and administered by the University of the Arts) and an Independence Foundation Fellowship in support of her upcoming comic, actors/ballet- "Suburban Love Songs." And yes, she was the dance captain in Dirty Dancing.
