Yesterday, in my sixth-grade class, I taught writing to 29 impressionable young writers. I introduced an organizer I created as a writer's checklist, an all-purpose guide to writing in any situation. It focused on writing with detail and clarity.

Its title?

"The Yes-And Guide To Writing"

The spirit is still alive in this one.

I hope you're proud of what I'm doing, and that I'm bringing a little bit of Del to my little corner of the state.

That's really great. I think that the improv mindset of agreement can be applied to SO many things, writing especially. It's great that someone's out there actually saying so.

Kudos.

Does anybody teach improv to kids? They would be very good at it, I bet.
An all middle-school Harold Night would be insane.

Thanks.

I just completed my first full-time teaching job app, and the words "Upright Citizens Brigade Theater" were on it.
