Hello, New York. It's me, Scott Jennings. You may remember me from now-defunct Harold teams or long-forgotten shows or things of that nature.
Well, I'm writing to you today to ask you to consider the
Dirty South Improv Festival for your out-of-town improv festival needs. I'm proud to associate myself with DSI and lend my good name to their efforts by directing their two house teams and teaching upcoming classes and putting little flyers on windshields of cars and whatnot, and I wanted to let you all know that this festival carries my personal endorsement, which should carry some weight with you schlubs. This is the organization that's keeping me from moving back to New York for the foreseeable future, so that should tell you something about the quality of the people and the potential of the program and such things, and encourage you to motor down for a weekend and check it out for yourself.
New York has yet to be represented at this festival, which is a shame, because New York is my pick for Best Improv City Ever, so I hope that changes this year. Chapel Hill also happens to be an incredible improv city, with a refreshing point of view and an enthusiastic community and a pure artistic outlook that maybe you've been looking for recently. Now, this festival is sold as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied, but I'm pretty darn sure you'd be happy with it if you took the trip.
I'd be tickled to see some of you guys on stage in Chapel Hill, and I'm sure you'll have a great time performing for the incredible hotties in this area. Oh, did I not mention that Chapel Hill is chock-full of hotties? Well, it is. Yeah, I know New York has hotties too, but Chapel Hill has different hotties, and it's good to mix up your hotties now and again.
Ok, that's all the selling I can do in one night. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have, and if my word isn't enough to do it for you, then hell, maybe Porter agrees. You'd have to ask him yourself, we didn't talk about this beforehand. Can't put words into the man's mouth.
See you in Chapel Hill, land of the hotties,
Scott
