If you are in New York tonight, you must go see Weirdass at the Upright Citizens Brigade. This is perhaps the best improv duo performing anywhere in the world right now. I'm serious. Make your reservations NOW. They are perfforming right after Mr. Ass tonight (I think it's considered one show). Call the UCB theater for details. 212-366-9176. You'll be sorry if you miss this.

confused re: weirdass...

It's not on the UCB theater schedule.

I second Mullaney's recommendation. Bob and Stephnie are among the best improvisers anywhere, and they were one of the major hits of last year's Del Close Marathon. You WILL learn from them. Go! (But save me a seat!)

It was added after the schedule was made. Is it on the web schedule? In any case, it's happening. I saw them last night at McManus.

They aren't on the schedule, but if you call the theater, the voicemail message says "Wednesday (today) 9:30, Mr.ASS and Wierdass. So, I'm assuming that the Mr.Ass show gets you into the wierdass show.

Fish...Lets just head over after rehearsal and make them give us seats.

FYI: The show is almost sold out. They are double billing w/Mr.ASS, and the theater is not sure who is going on first. Regardless, you have to be there at 9:30 to get a seat.

Shall we take up a collection? The Gwyn Ashley travel fund? I'm sure you're due for a vacation.

The show was phenomenal. The best I've seen them do. A lot of eyes and minds were opened at UCB.

Thank You!

What a wonderful show! I feel blessed these days. On Tuesday, I saw the absolutely great, heartwarming, hilarious Jen Nails show "Lylice," then last night I got to see the funny funny "Eye Candy," "Mr. A$$," and "Weirdass."

But a big, big thanks to Bob and Stephanie who made me remember what I love about improv. In the midst of thinking about what I want to SAY in improv, it was inspiring to see two people work together to create such great stuff.

Come back soon!

Yes, please do

Actually, I really want to know. How do people do this?
I know every persons' situation is different, but it's always so surprising to me when I hear that someone went to NY for 2 days, when I KNOW they're broke.

Or people who fly back and forth to Chicago, and stay for a month or two....how DO people do this kind of stuff?
I don't get it.

Other than for a JOB, I mean.....

Now, see?

I knew someone would say that.

I'm talking about all the people I see doing this, just jetting back and forth. Not just them. They are not the only ones to ever do this.
