Who do you want?

Here's a thread that I saw on Dirty South's message board and I wondered what people in Philly thought.

Who in the Philadelphia Improv Scene that you don't perform with would you like to perform with? [and also who would you like to see perform together?]

I'm starting/did start 2-man projects with Greg Maughan and Mike McFarland, so I won't mention them, but I had wanted to perform with them.

I'd like to perform with Jon Sales. I've never seen him not be easily hilariously brilliant.
And I'd love to see some more all-girl improv in Philly from such noted females as Alexis Simpson, Jess Snow, Erin Weames, etc. etc. etc. 13 Skirts should do a real estrofest & invite every womprovisor in town to be in one big show some time.

An estrofest would be awesome. "Funny, for a Girl 2006," lets do it!!

Here’s an idea: Alexis Simpson, Jessica Snow, Erin Weems = “The Real Bird Show.” We dress like flappers and reference prohibition a lot. We use smoky, cool voices, and names like Pearl and Daisy.

I need to work with Jon Sales and Matt Nelson. I came so close once, but it didn't work out. Also, Nathan Edmondson, Karen Getz, Mary Carpenter, Jody Miller. . . I’m sure there are a lot more.

Damn, there's a lot. In no particular order... Brandon Libby, Jessi Snow, Matt Holmes, Mary Carpenter, Greg Maughan, Kristen Schier... the list goes on. I would say Karen Getz and Kelly Jennings, but McFarland and I did a set with them at Fergies that rocked, so I guess they wouldn't count. But that set just further proved to me that when it comes to great improvisers, they can jump in with anyone and make an incredible show! I guess I also did a set with Libby, Snow and Maughan at Fergies, but that insane set was total chaos and felt more like a jam.

I have done shows with alot of Philly folks but there are a few that I have yet to do anything with. . .

Dave Jadico
The new guys in the Ninjas(Don't know all of the names but they all seem to be pretty funny)

Kristen is awesome. She played a Septa bus driver name Latisha in Jeopardy at the N Crowd show at Society Hill Playhouse last week. It was hilarious.

Corey (Cohen?) is one of the new guys in the Ninjas and he is also awesome. I worked with him for a hot minute, but never in a show, so he goes on my list.

What do you mean you worked with him for a hot minute? Did you make love? Make Cheesteaks? Make Fire? Make a fire robot? Make a baby that eats fire? What Jess? The whole world is watching!

Madi Distephano and I almost did a show.

I know that's not how you spell it.

I'm drunk.

But I would like to do a show with her.

Also Mike Young is hysterical. We're going to crack your shit up some day. Just wait.

Jon, who has very limited access to the IRC (damn those companies who expect you to "work") asked me to pass along his list...
Matt Holmes, Jessi Snow, Brandon Libby, Greg Maughan, Dave Jadico and the whole of Thirteen Skirts, amongst others.
Forgive any omissions, as this is from my memory, which is clogged with malted hops and bong resin.

I saw The Reckoning while I was in Chicago. They do a Harold, except after the initial opening, the group does a bunch of scenes that cross back and forth over top of each other. Very cool. Group games and two and three person scenes all mixed together.

That doesn't sound like The Reckoning, at least not when I saw them. They did organic transitions and everything was a group game. It was awesome, but maybe a little hard to describe.

Who do I want?

My wish list for people to perform with would be:

Matt Holmes and Greg Maughan (hint hint...Holmes/Maughan/Bringhurst...just a thought)

Mary Carpenter, Bobbi Block, Dave Jadico, Tom McManus, Kevin Dougherty, Dave Dritsas (okay, the entire cast of ComedySportz...let me in)
