It seemed like not 6 months ago every other person on this board was unemployed... has that changed?

Where are the new emerging job fields? How can I do my duty now for the future?

Is it all temping?

yeah and then it can get worse.
But that kind of commenting (your'n and mine) should get this placed into the off-topic thread.

I just got re-employed after a year off. The job market *does* seem to be getting better, albeit slowly. All the recruiters who I've been working with say so - that major corps are loosening the purse strings a little now and rehiring. Temping and entry computer jobs will start picking up again, count on it.

I actually wanted to go into massage therapy, my lifelong dream job, but I couldn't figure out how to pay for 18 months of school on no income, and now that I'm working full time, if I did it I'd have no time for comedy. What a dilemma.

it feels as if nyc television work has picked up over the past couple of months

maybe its just because of pilot season, but i know a bunch of people who have been turning down work recently.
