Where can I convert VHS to DVD or mini DV?

I am doing a ridiculous project for my family for Christmas, where I take all our old home movies and turn them into a "best of" DVD. Does anyone know of any services in NYC that will convert VHS to either a mini-dv or DVD?

I can do it at home but I would have to buy a converter. I want to see which option is cheaper and worth my time.

New York Film Workshop by Baruch College, off of Lexington Ave. on either East 24th or 25th Street (I forget exactly... they just moved from B'way. If someone knows their exact street, please post on this thread). They do all transfer work. Check in on their prices to see if they are to your wallet's liking.

If you just need a direct transfer of the VHS to DVD, you should be able to do it for under $15 per disk.

If you want a more slick presentation with menus, motion graphics, editing of the material, or something along those lines, I do that. I'll PM you my phone number (or email shadowlands@inklingproductions.com).
