Whats everyone doing for New Years Eve this year?

I'm wondering whether someone has something awesome that they are doing...

I have no plans. Contemplating going to Long Island to spend the time with family...

Any good shows?

I know theres a show at MSG with Wilco and The Flaming Lips.

I don't know what's going on New Year's Eve, but I do really like the saying "what's the haps?"

For a brief time, I was hoping that it would become fashionable to say "What's the Huey Lewis" to mean "What's the news?" but that never happened.

Brian Haddon was a guy in Bakersfield who went to a lot of shows out of town and had a knack for making connections everywhere. being his friend meant you could get shoes, cds, food, get into movies and concerts all up and down the west coast, all free. there are still circles in the CA and WA punk scenes where "I know Brian Haddon" means "I've got a connection" although most of the people who now say it never knew Brian Haddon.

there is hope for "What's the Huey Lewis."

The North County Tribune had a story on a 90 Pound Wuss show in Paso Robles but it never went to print, so the kids who knew Brian Haddon got the Huey Lewis and went to the show while everyone else stayed home.
