What song will play at the UCB new years party when the ball drops?

My vote is with "Hey Ya!" again. Not because I want it to, but because it seems to mysteriously be played every 20 minutes at UCB parties. I'm just giving it the best odds.

I think "Float On" by Modest Mouse is suitable. Not as live as "Hey Ya" but I think it's perfect for the New Year's attitude. Plus I wouldn't mind kissing strangers to it. Oh wait, is that how the UCB New Years party rolls? That's my choice and I'm stickin' to it.

"Leslie Ann Levine" by the Decemberists. It's ironic because it's about a dead baby. Get it? Baby New Year? Dead baby? Am I the only one who thinks that things which are the opposite of other things are hilarious?

I don't think anything has topped "Hey Ya" in terems of popularity and celebratory dancibility.

However, its also played.

maybe that U2 song with the counting. Seems appropo.

Based on the dancibility section of Purnell's rubric, I'll have to vote no on Trick Daddy's "Let's Go" as I'd rather not resort to humping everyone in the face like those kids in the video were so eager to do.

If this matter doesn't get straightened out, I'ma go roll a spleef with Regis.
