What has the WPA done for you?

We have been doing shows all over this great city of ours for the last year, and we were wondering if you have any WPA stories that you may be able to share. Now as you know we try to do uplifting tales to set your heart at ease. We would like to know how the WPA may have changed your life.
Maybe the WPA helped you realize things ain't all that bad.
Maybe you got to eat a sandwich after a show.

If you don't have a story, then come on down and maybe we can set your spirit ablaze with good times.

The only thing the WPA has ever done for me was keep me from getting back to the chain gang, so I guess I don't mind that so much. They also made me belly laugh quite a bit. Once I almost rolled over on the ground and nearly spilled my tin cup of moonshine.

My only problem with the Sunshine Gang is they apparently have been infiltrated by some un-American elements that seem to talk about some guy named Marx alot. Why don't you go back to Russia with Emma Goldman!

The Sunshine Boys made me sing and laugh my ass off.

The WPA picked me out of that warm Bakersville, California gutter and got me back on my feet. I was doin' lots of thieven and such, the WPA told me "Stop your stealin'! Do your duty!"

I also found out that Communism is the only good form of gubbermint. Come on Tuesday @ 9:30 to the Maverick Workcamp and I'll explain, in meticulous detail, why this is.

I would like to take this time to thank the WPA for giving me a chance to perform for you good people. People of the earth, earth people. As you grab hold of your next handful of soil, don't just see the dryness, the lack of nutriants that make things grow.
