I really don't see how this will help. If someone wants to blow themselves up, or leave a bomb in a bag on a subway, a machine gun will not stop them.

It could stop the rare subway gunfight, if one of the six happened to actually be there.

Waste of money.

This is a perfect solution.

It's amazing how quickly you all forgot about how serious the threats of terror can be. I feel more protected from all these terrorists who are making America less free.
I just can't wait until we have to show an ID before purchasing a metro card.

My prediction - more and more of us will be ticketed for putting our feet up on the seats, and more scantily dressed ladies will be hit on.
