westside improv classes

try The Empty Stage Theater in West Los Angeles

they have beginning, intermediate and advanced classes

it was started by Stan Wells, a former artisitc director at the Groundlings

i have a friend who just started taking classes there and he seems to like it

Oasis Christian Fellowship Church in Hollywood has improv workshops for the beginners, intermediate, and advanced. www.oasisla.org or www.fishesandloavescomedy.com. Led by Richard Henry, who was with Second City. Free, and lots of fun.

I couldn't find Richard Henry on the alumni list at SecondCity.com. Is he from a Mainstage group? Did he graduate the conservatory?

I can't find anything on this Richard Henry guy either. the web site has no bio info just pics of everyone. It looks pretty christian so I'm sure the dudes not lying but the term "was with" does imply he was in Second City. Whats the scoop avon?
