This week, Variety Underground brings you Carla Rhodes, "rock and roll ventriloquist." What does that mean? You're going to have to come to the show to find out. Know this: she's appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, and has performed backstage for the Rolling Stones.

Also performing:

Wegman's (new longform improv team)

Borden & Mason (smartness galore)

Stomping Ground (they made a strong showing in last year's "Battle Royale" of indieprov teams -- and this week, they'll make a strong showing in your heart)

Be a part of the revolution. Come to Variety Underground.

Hosted by Sean Taylor and Tony Carnevale

*Thursday, Apr. 10th 7pm*
Parkside Lounge, 317 E. Houston St (at Attorney St)
(F/V to "2nd Avenue," then walk east on Houston)

Marian, it's entirely possible that Left Banke will be played. I'm pretty sure Tony's favorite Left Banke song is "She May Call You Up Tonight," with "Barterers and their Wives" a close second, but who knows what you might hear?

Well, I know. But I'm not telling.

Sincerely,

Variety Underground

I'm sure those are terrific Left Banke songs. It's just that "Pretty Ballerina" is so, well, pretty and "Just Walk Away, Renee" is so, well, walky.

Webber & Mason

starring Rob Webber and Porter Mason"

Whoa! The premiere of Webber & Mason -- two superb improvisers! AND a rock and roll ventriloquist! All at Variety Underground this Thursday.

Thank you, Webber and Mason! You are great. As will this night be.

I just emailed our "rock and roll ventriloquist" to find out whether she needs a microphone. And if she does, she shall HAVE ONE! That is how committed I am to bringing you an awesome show, potential audience.

Sincerely,

Variety Underground

Chris Webber and Jackie Mason and a rock and roll ventriliquist.

I will be there early sitting up front with a slice of free pizza in one hand and a cheaply priced happy hour beer in the other!!!
