Auditions for the Off Broadway Theatre’s Improv Troupe, Laugh Match
Salt Lake City, UT – The Off Broadway Theatre will be holding auditions for its newest improvisational troupe, Laugh Match. Auditions will be held at the theatre on May 30 and May 31, 2006 from 7pm to 9pm. Those who are interested in auditioning do not necessarily need to have previous improv experience, but should be comically oriented and have acting abilities. Resumes with prior acting and comedy experience including a head shot are preferred. Laugh Match performances will begin June 9 and continue through July 7, 2006. All parts are paid.
Through the audition process, actors will be given a workshop on how to play certain improvisational games and will be instructed by Laugh Match Director Eric Jensen and members of the professional improv troupe, Laughingstock. Those auditioning will be required to show abilities in storytelling, comedic acting, joke telling, and working with other actors in a plot intensive scene format.
