unable to register on IE

I was trying to create a new username for The Locals, and two weird things happened while going through the registration process.

1. I was asked my birthday, but was only given a drop-down box for month and an entry field for year, with a blank space in the middle where "date" would ordinarily have been. Since this is only for age confirmation, this may be intentional.

2. But... on the next screen, where one is supposed to see an image that confirms you are not some kind of bot registering for the site, I saw no image -- there was a blank space where the image should have been. Therefore, I was unable to register.

I am using IE 6.0 on a computer running Windows XP.

I don't have an answer for you. Have you tried to replicate the error or did it happen once?

I've tried I think four different times to register over the past two months, and the same thing has happened each time.
