Levels 3 & 3b - Advanced Harold Workshop
Students will learn advanced Harold techniques, expand their group game vocabulary, try out alternative long form structures, and continue to hone their skills at the game of the scene. Students will have opportunities to perform at the UCB Theatre.
Students must have taken level 2 at the UCBT to register for level 3. Students must have taken level 3 at the UCBT to register for level 3b.
Maximum number of students is 16.
Here are a list of the options for level 3 classes this session:
Q: So level 3b registration works the same as level 3 registration?
A: Yes the only difference is who is eligible. In order to qualify for a 3b, you must have taken a level 3.
Q: What is the difference between levels 3 and 3b?
A: Because 3b's will have more advanced students, instructors may cover specific topics beyond the harold or techniques that are more advanced than in a regular level 3s.
Q: So there is no longer an application process for level 3b?
A: Not this session. We are basically returning to a first come, first served basis for level 3b this session. However, acceptance of your application for level 3b is subject to teacher approval.
Q: There aren't that many level 3 available this session overall?
A: Rest assured that if there is enough demand we will add one or two more level 3 classes.
Q: What happens to any online slots still available at 5pm?
A: They will be sold to in-person registrations, if there are people to buy them in-person.
Q: What happens if all slots are sold online before 5pm, aren't the in-person people shafted?
A: No, there will be a few slots set aside for in-person.
Q: Do you expect a big line?
A: No, one of our goals is to eliminate the advantage to staying out all night to sign up for a class. Your best bet for getting into the class you want is to try to register for it online before in-person registration begins. We know that a few people will not be able to register online, that's why we are setting aside a few slots in each class for in-person registration.
Q: What happens if we completely sell out all online slots for all classes of a particular level?
A: If we quickly sell out all slots, we may open up an extra slot in each class for online registration and/or open up another class for that level. Our goal is to have enough classes for everyone to get into a class at a time that they want.
Q: What if you don't sell all of the in-person slots for a particular class?
A: If all of the online slots sell out, but there are still a few in-person slots available at 8pm on Wednesday, we may make them available to buy online. So if your class "sells out" in the early afternoon, but you can't make it down to our office. I would check back late Wednesday night or Thursday morning. A few slots may open up.
Q: How late can I drop by for in-person registration on Tuesday night?
A: I will be at the office until 8pm that night. At 8pm, I will make available a few more online slots, if they were not sold to in-person registrations.
