UCB-LA. How Do I Get In???

#1
So ive studying with UCB in NY. Took up the their level 5. And now im in LA and there is UCB-LA. Fantastic! but they only offer level one classes. does anyone know of any ways to continue training with the UCB in teh LA area? or how to perform on their stage?

basically...i plan on going to the UCBLA door, and saying 'hey i want to perform here, work here, and ive been trained for it and want more!'

anyone have any better suggestions?

thanks

Humbling yourself sounds like a great plan. Taking the basics again would be good for anyone. And expecting to work and perform somewhere just because you've completed their training seems like a dangerous assumption to me.

However, when you've already invested over $1,000 in training, what are the alternatives?

Yes. Be humble. Good advice for every player. But they have already offered a level 201 class as well. Andy Daly and Sean Conroy taught it. They are planning on having the full spectrum of classes very soon. Be patient.

Word on the street is they're planning Harold Team auditions in September. But I'd email and ask.

And training only proves you've got a credit card.

Did you take the 201 class? DSI's Maddy Curley was in that class.

Skacting - Good luck. You could be on the inside track with UCBTLA, and the road just opened up, but don't crash into the median and ruin your chances with an entitled approach.

We are only offering level 101 and level 201 until we have more students that are ready to be in the upper levels. It will take a few months before we will be offering the other levels.

In terms of performance, I recommend that you come to our improv jam on Thursday nights and come see Martini Shot.

We do not have a lot of improv performance opportunities just yet, but that will change with time.

We may be holding harold auditions in September, but it is not for sure yet.

The best thing you can do to be a part of the community right now, is to see shows and support the theatre.

Also, spread the word that we are open, and let people know how much you love it.
