Hello Internet,
I decided to hop back on here because the system that Ross Bergman has suggested (or at least something very close to it) is in the works at UCBTC and has been for a little bit.
This way if you are asked to repeat 401, you will hopefully be able to take a higher level class in a specific area that you need more practice or remediation in. In the meantime, there is nothing wrong with taking another 401. Back in the day, people took 3s and "3Bs" over and over to get better.
Remember 3Bs?
(Also, like many things suggested/demanded in this thread, these courses are in the works. I don't know when these alternative 400 level courses will be available. E-mailing Shannon O'Neill or I about them will only slow down our ability to figure them out.)
I guess I felt the need to say something about it because I thought this is a good idea that myself and some of the other teachers actually already came up with and I wanted to claim it as such. (Not that there would be anything wrong with it if a guy who sticks his nutsack in stapler for a living came up with it.)
For all further suggestions, I'd like to reiterate Anthony's suggestion of making direct communication with the UCB Training Center staff. The IRC is not a great way to get in touch with us. My work e-mail is joe AT UCBT DOT NET.
Finally, I would say that I think of "peanut butter in the butthole" before "nutsack in the stapler." Maybe that's just me.
