For your consideration, I present two white/birch IKEA bookcases. One or both can be yours for the bargain basement price of $25 each (they'll run you $60 new). Get those books and magazines off your bedroom floor and onto a fine MDF bookcase, IRC!
They are from the Robin line of home furnishings and look like this:
except they are white instead of blue. They are really very nice (for IKEA) and attractive. I'm only getting rid of them because I'm moving and won't have space for them.
You can take them as-is or I can dismantle them for you for easy subway/cab transport (they are extremely easy to reassemble -- I'll even give you your own allen wrench!).
