[Toronto] Training alternatives to Second City?

Aha. Pronoun trouble.

I'm going to be living in the Toronto area starting September for the next school year at York University. Living in New York this summer I took a Level 1 UCB class and now I'm all about that shit, as the kids say.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for worthwhile classes in Toronto? After looking at Second City's website I'm not really excited, their programs seem very short and broad.

Also, I get the feeling there's an ugly SNL-like vibe at SC, where people aren't so much interested in improv as making it the stepping stone to whatever. I would love to find something like the UCB theater in Toronto, with weekly classes. Any recommendations would be a huge help, or even a website with information. Thanks!

If you are in Toronto, you should go out of your way to study with www.longform.ca and The Impatient Theatre Co. KPR runs an awesome improv festival in Toronto each August and has received nothing but good feedback from everyone he works with.

Good luck, Chip.
