I'm a little bit too excited by this news.

But here it is the day you've all been waiting for, Target is opening in Times Square. Granted it's only for the month of October, but it's a beginning.

but you can take a short subway ride to the big ol' brooklyn store. it's right by a transit hub and you can take the b, d, m, n, q, r, 2, 3, 4, or 5 trains (almost) right to it's lovely doors.

This is another thing I hate about NYC. Everything closes early! "The city that never sleeps?" Bullshit! It's the city that takes frequent naps. No Target would ever close before 9pm on a weekday in the suburbs, usually not before 10pm.

J&R is a wonderful store and I love it, but the latest it stays open is 7:30! What the crap?!?

ps. I don't like the Brooklyn Target because they try to cram too much stuff into too small a space and it's hard to get around. But I love Brooklyn and I love Target.

Hells yeah. In Ottumwa, Iowa, I can go to Wal-Mart at 11pm. "City that never sleeps" my ass. This city shuts down between 7 and 8 pm.

Also, I love Target. Please, God, give me a Target in Manhattan.
