The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is proud to announce the dates for the 13th Annual Del Close Marathon!
This year's marathon will be the weekend of August 12-14, and will take place on multiple stages. We'll also have awesome special shows during the week leading up to the marathon (August 8-11)
And all week long we'll be offering special workshops. Details TBA.
If you'd like to submit your group to be a part of the DCM, please see our submission guidelines and complete an application at delclosemarathon.com
You'll see that the submission form is a more extensive this year than it has been in the past. That is because last year some teams lied about who they were and where they were from to take advantage of the fact that, well, we try to trust people. (Congrats! You got us!) So now I have to ask teams to be more thorough in proving their credentials.
As always, we're also looking for groups that have ideas for late-night premise shows. However, it's best if you also submit the cast (or as much of an idea of the cast as possible). We are not looking to book tons of shows with 20-50 performers in them. If you've seen those shows, I think we all know why.
Finally - if you'd like your show to be considered for a primetime slot, and we do not already know you or your show, you should send us a DVD or videotape of the show or - preferably - link to a YouTube vid.
The deadline for submission is May 9.
