Raleigh, North Carolina's only sketch and improv troupe has its new Web site partially up and running. Take a gander when you want to groove to the music. (New areas to go live as they're ready over the next week or so.)

The Product Is Dead

Well, when something dies it decomposes and the carrion eaters show up. Porn on the Web is the equivalent of vultures in the real world.

The best performers of The Product joined with some of the best performers of Sans-Script and can be found every Friday Night at the North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theater as the newest incarnation of Raleigh's Village Idiots (founded 1996 and having grown and changed many times over the years).

New Name Same Great Taste

No disbanding, just rebranding.

John, the founder, left a month ago for a job 2 hours away. Now that he has officially stated that the group is ours to do with as we want, we decided to change names.

Mid-Life Crisis may describe John and some others (Tom....), but it doesn't tell you that most of the troupe is in their 20s or 30s, and it surely doesn't yell "Fun for the whole family." So, a name change was in order.

Falcon still has the url http://www.idiots.net/, we still have the ability to get e-mail for all of us there (Matthew@idiots.net), and best of all, the space is paid for . . . forever. We have to pay for the URL of course, but the server space was bartered for early on in the Idiot revolution of 1997. Best of all, Falcon still has a carton of t-shirts with our logo and URL on them.

So, we initiated all the non-Idiot members of MLC into the Idiots and as of this coming Friday, the Idiots are back on the stage. Which is good, because it means if Newhouse ever visits from Boston on a weekend he is contractually obligated to perform.

Any Wednesday at 8:00, show up.

We're doing a naive game this week that you'll love.
