Hey! The N Crowd has a show every week, and theyyyyyyy bring it. Here's the thread where what to post all your favorite moments from Philadelphia's bad boys n girls of improv comedy.

Maybe we can start with the Ferris Bueler's Day Off-themed spectacular?

I enjoyed the ridiculousness of being the "Save Ferris" water tower. But now sadly I need to find a new laundry hamper to replace the one that was sacrificed to create the water tower superstructure

Still my favorite N Crowd moment, and one of my favorites ever in general, is when we got the suggestion of abortion for Movie Critics. In what I consider to be his finest moment, BJ turned the suggestion on it's head - by reviewing a sci-fi film about an aborted space shuttle launch and a documentary about Abortions... the native islanders of Abortia. There was a third that I'm not remembering. But it was a brilliant moment and the audience LOVED him for it.

Hey, thanks, Alexis!

A Very Bueller Halloween was fun. I was the coolest Jeanie Bueller ever. And the audience gave me and Charlie Sheen/Mike Cosenza the suggestion of “jail” for a scene. It was great. Alan’s 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California was the best.

Anyway, I’m biased, I love most of what the whole cast does. They my peeps.

N Crowd Facts:
1. We will be 5 years old in March. (First show was April 22, 2005.)
2. We have two babies: Isaac McCartney Sandone Libby (7 months) and Noah Jordan Schindler (9 days)
3. We will make our first appearance at The North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival in February.
4. We had great auditions recently and should have a few new faces soon.

Things that are probably different than the last time you saw an N Crowd show:
1. Natalie isn’t pregnant.
2. We don’t run up from the back anymore. We’re all on stage the whole time. It’s good.
3. Matt plays! We’ve discontinued having one main host and rotate hosting shifts.
4. We have new lights. We use a mic and amp for sound effects in some games. We got smooth new black chairs and black boxes for the stage. They look sweet with the red curtain. There are snazzy new automatic soap and paper towel dispensers in the bathroom at the Actor’s Center too.

Also Kristen played the girl on the bus at the end of the movie with gummi bears. she kept gummis in her pocket and kept giving them to audience members throughout the show. awesome and gross.

this is old school, but i remember Mike Connor playing a washed-up prop comic as part of a Good/Bad/Ugly (aka Advice Panel) game. Amazing.

I have seen the N Crowd a whole bunch, so I have alot of fun memories.

One of my favorites was Steve Cohen playing the lead instructor of an amazing exercise video. He came up with an non-stop string of ridiculous routines. He was so committed to the character, I wish he never stopped.

Oh, and Jessi Snow popped my improv cherry, during a workshop with Chris Gethard, at the very first Philly Improv Festival! We made delicious pretend cookies!

More to come...

In December the N Crowd made several (well, specifically, three) amazing strides in getting more of our “JV squad” produced. Noah was born- big step toward our baby-prov domination. Mike Cosenza is now engaged, nice step, but only a BABY step. And the third “accomplishment” will be revealed in January.

Congratulations Michael (and Natalie)!!

Also, the N Crowd will be doing four shows in Bethlehem, PA as part of its First Night celebration on New Year’s Eve. Our next show after that is on Friday, January 8th at 8 PM at The Actor’s Center (257 N 3rd Street in Old City). We’re at the Actor’s Center most Friday nights at 8 PM.

Welcome to Philadelphia, Jodi!

You should come out on on 1/8 for our show. We'll be doing our regular shortform and we'll have special guest Real Housewives of Philadelphia!

Mike Cosenza playing Sinbad during Dating Game was hilarious to the nth degree. He was 100% committed to a really really bad impersonation (there was definitely some Bill Cosby folded in there) - but that commitment made it work and made me almost fall off my chair laughing.

agreed.

i also thought Jessie's Dating Game character kicked ass. Gloria is quite a woman. Additionally, I loved BJ/Alans' changing locations.

Great show; i love the decision to stay on stage the whole time. it really makes a difference to the pace of the show.
