I'm trying to find a high level assistant for one of my favorite law firm clients. Pay goes up to $55K with overtime (I think after 35 hours- so halfway through your Thursday, it kicks in) and the best benefits EVER. You'll be assisting a wicked smart Global Director who is obsessed with both The Rangers and The Beatles. The whole department is full of techy geniuses who love where they work and what they do. A lot of passion going around but I wouldn't count on audition flexibility though.

If this doesn't sound for you, then forward it on.

I included the URL so that you can access hypelinks for more information if a job looks interesting.

I would guess that the Library Associate position : basically do everything that a librarian does but without a Master's degree in Library Science and much less pay, and Freelance copywriter would be the most interesting jobs to you guys.

I'm looking for a job!

I've held down jobs with such titles as "QA Analyst," "Senior Technical Support Specialist," "Web Engineer," "Project Manager," and my personal favorite, "Analyst." Basically all over the system development life cycle, mostly in the Web-based/Software as a Service spheres. I'd love to get a QA/PM/analyst/senior support job with a company in media/interactive web/new media/something interesting, since the companies I was with down south were all critically boring (mostly HRIS).

If you have a lead or work for a company that might be looking for a guy like me, please do drop me a line at sajennings@gmail.com, and I'll get you my resume straight away.

Thanks!

Much like my friend Scott, I am also interested in hearing about some job opportunities. My name is Jason, and some of you may know me from your many or singular visits to DSIF in Chapel Hill where I've co-produced the festival and performed. Well, I moved up here last week and need a job.

I am holding a BA in Film Studies, but have loads of work experience in the new media / web / ad agency fields. I also have video production and P.A. experience. Ideally, I would like to work on the production side of a film/tv production house (writing, research, pitch development) or in the ad industry working in a client relationship role with a hand in creative.

If you know of anything that sounds like this, or just sounds awesome to you, email me at jasonlcurtis@gmail.com.

Thanks in advance,

J

Do you look like a professor? Casting a Professor

I'm looking for someone to play a Professor for an internet video shoot during the day on Sunday August 12th. It pays and will be a pretty quick shoot. It's for an internet video that will be on the Apreso.com website.

Interested parties please email casting@disposabletelevision.com with a head-shot, resume, and if you have "professorial" clothing, a description of what you think you could bring to the table, wardrobe wise, and confirmation that you are available on the shoot day.

Thanks!

Part-time job starting in September!

Hi friends, it's me, Beth Appel.

My delightful boss is looking for a babysitter for son. The details are below, so please let me know if you're interested or forward this along to anyone you know who might be interested!

The hours are approximately 3:15-7pm Monday-Friday, but she's very open to having people work more hours if they need the money. Also, her son is totally adorable and pretty well-behaved from what I can tell.

Here are the details:

You would pick him up from school at 3:15pm and stay with him until approximately 7:00pm. You would be with him at their home while he does his homework (helping him if he needs it) and then, time permitting, play sports with him (baseball, basketball, football and/or soccer). You may also accompany him on play-dates with other children, go to the park, and engage in other activities.
• College attendance/degree preferred.
• Experience with children preferred.
• Salary competitive and negotiable.
• Sports-oriented greatly preferred.

We are located at 79th and Amsterdam (take the 1 or 9 train to 79th Street) and his school is located at 63rd Street and CPW.

Call or email me if you're interested: 303-907-6394, beth.appel@gmail.com.

She's starting to get antsy about finding someone, so let me know ASAP!!

Fine Dining Waiting

Hey if anyone has any experience with fine dining style waiting and is looking for a job try "Django." It's a french-Mediterranean style restaurant on 46th and Lexington that does mainly local jpmorgan-type corporate biz. You should have fine dining experience but they're pretty lax on "nyc experience" which is nice. Bonuses are good lunches where you can make some pretty good money and have your evening free for shows or rehearsals and they are also off all sundays and all holidays.

Hey everyone -
A friend of mine just moved to the city and is looking for a bartending job, which is of course difficult without prior NYC experience. I can vouch for him being funny, good-looking, clean, punctual and knowledgeable about mixing a killer drink. I told him I'd look around to see if anyone needed someone and was willing to accept out-of-town experience. PM me if you have any leads. Thanks, IRC!

Make-up Artist Sought

Hi -- Disposable Television is looking for a make-up artist for a job tonight, Wednesday August 15th. It is a low-budget shoot, but there is some pay, and will last 3 hours. It's a great reel-building project and is for a Universal Music artist and should get good play on the internet.

If you're interested, please email crew@disposabletelevision.com with "Make-up Artist" somewhere in the subject of the email.

We're also looking to build our roster of make-up artists, so feel free to send your info even if you're not available tonight -- just make a note of that in the subject and body of the email.

Thanks!
-Brendan

Web video editor for Washington Post

Hey video editors,

Washington Post launched a new site this year (www.sprig.com) and they need another editor for their web videos (my girlfriend had the position and got bumped up to another Post website). The site is geared toward green issues (concerning fashion, food, etc).

I work for the Post, too, and it's a great company. Send me your resume and I'll walk it down the hall to get it in the right hands.

Have FCP/some Photoshop experience, have a reel, have an idea what Sprig is about (check out the site and videos, yo), and then hit me up @ jim *dot* festante *at* slate *dot* com.

Good luck!
