Ready for Spring
Is there someone on here that's an apartment broker? Basically, my employer provides on-campus housing, but they've recently started increasing the rents dramatically. As such, if I find a broker who's a good fit, I may be able to send a bunch of customers their way.

Thanks,
Eugene

Emily Bryan and Mike Short are looking for a roommate. The building is very close to the ACBD stop at 145th Street. Also nearby, a 24-hour Pathmark. Convenient! The apartment has a small kitchen, decently-sized living room, and is fairly quiet. The super is very responsive too.

The available bedroom is about 11x14, plus 1 big closet and overhead shelf space, but unfurnished. The windows face the street. We're on the 6th floor, with an elevator.

Rent is $650, due on the first of the month, plus utilities and Cable/Internet, which all adds up to $700. We'll also need a deposit of one month's rent, or $650.

My friend Nitasha is moving and needs someone to rent her room. I know nothing about her roommates but can attest to the awesome dancing space in the living room.

It's uber-conveniently located on Court St. between State St. and Atlantic. Ave, across the street from Trader Joe's and at the nexus of Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill/Boreum Hill. You'd be 5 minutes or less away from the 4/5/2/3 at Borough Hall, M/R at Court St., close to A/C/F/G at Jay St. and F/G at Bergen St.

The living room and bathroom are huge and the kitchen's decent-sized with a brand new oven/stove. The room itself is on the small side, but there's a sizable closet and room for a dresser, desk, and bed. Plus you can have my fancy glass desk for free, if you want! I have two other roommates, both professional ladies, clean, conscientious, and not often around at the same time. The rent is $917/month.

Hey, my friend and I are looking for 2 bedrooms in a 3 or 4 bedroom apt. We are looking at moving out around August 1st, but will move sooner if we find a good deal. I'm a 23 year old male and he is a 21 year old male. Both of us are planning on training at the UCB and engulfing ourselves in the improv scene. We are looking for our individual rent shares to be $500 each, if that even possible, but we will be flexible on price. Any other question just ask away.

Room in Greenpoint apt for rent $450/month! Move-in 3/1!

This is a room in a railroad apartment in Greenpoint. The rent is $450/ month +$15-$20 in utilities. Move in March 1st!

The upside:
The Neighborhood is great and you won't find cheaper rent.
The roommates are two 20 something female actor/comedians/UCBers.
Amazing landlord!
Laundry on the corner.
3 blocks from the G train. 20 minute walk to the Bedford L.
Short walk over the bridge takes you straight to The Creek/ 7 train.

The downside:
The room is in the middle and I would be walking through it.
Noise needs to be kept to a minimum! We are sharing a small space and need to be respectful of each other at all times.

You must be able to pay rent on time and communicate openly.

$1,000 HUGE room in Park Slope apartment (awesome area!)

Hi Everyone,

Katie East here (from Froduce, Two Lady Katie, and around). I'm looking for someone to fill an amazing HUGE bedroom in Park Slope proper. I have been living in this apartment since August and subletting from a (sketchy) roommate. I stuck it out because I love the apartment. Well, after like 9 years of him being there he's living and I'm trying to take over the lease! And I need someone to rent the room and sign the lease with me and the other roommate. I believe the move-in date will be March 1(though possibly before or after).

It is a three bedroom (converted from two). Your room is HUGE. It was the living room (we still have a smaller living room/shared space) and can easily fit a Queen size bed, entertainment unit, desk and still fit a couch. Attached to the bedroom is also a big storage space (like 1/3 the size of my bedroom AKA some Manhattan size bedroom) with extra closet or could be turned into an office. This is YOUR space and the only access is through your bedroom (but, if you use it as storage maybe we can shove some crap in there too?) The room is furnished and I think the guy will leave most of his stuff. Or, I/he can get rid of it. You also have two windows facing 7th Ave. with an AC window unit in one. You will share the bathroom and large kitchen.

The apartment is two blocks from the 7th Ave. stop F and G, or a 10 minute walk to M or R. The rent is $1,000 plus bills. It's cheap considering the size of the room and the location. The specifics are up in the air on move in/state of the room but you would definitely need to sign the lease. I'm working on a month to month lease but a commitment of at least 6 months would be ideal. Pay stub and last year's W2s. The guy was specific that it be not some random person so I wanted to try here so it was someone I knew/knew of.

Let me know if you or anyone you know (actually KNOW) is interested. I can take pics of the room/apartment. Message me here or e-mail me at katieeast7@gmail.com

Hey everybody, my girlfriend is moving out of her apt. March 1, and is looking for somebody to take over her portion of the lease. This would ideally be for a March 1 move-in, but that's negotiable. We had somebody all lined up that backed out last-minute.

It's truly a beautiful apartment in a great location, and the bedroom is huuuge.

Here is the craigslist ad:

$800 huge, sunny bedroom available 3/1 - Astoria

it is with much sorrow that i'm leaving my beautiful Astoria apartment! I've lived here for 2+ years and have enjoyed every moment.

The Neighborhood - AMAZING! Every amenity is around the corner, laundry, bars, restaurants, gyms, nail salons etc. Also the best bagel shop in the world and the best greek food you've ever had in your life. The lovely Astoria Park is a short walk away, and it's truly beautiful with stunning views of the East River. The nearest subway is the N/W at Ditmars (3 short blocks away) and it takes about 15 minutes to get to midtown manhattan.

The Roomies - Two fun, polite and respectful girls in their mid-twenties who work in Event Planning and Television.

The Apartment - 3 bedrooms, the room that would be yours is the largest of the three and located in the front of the apartment overlooking a lovely tree-lined street. The room has two huge windows and hardwood floors. The room doesn't have a closet, but i will be leaving my large Ikea cherrywood wardrobe if you'd like to keep it! There are also 2 hallway closets for you to use. I have a TON of clothing/shoes and i've always had more than enough space! You will also have full use of a shared kitchen, bathroom, living room and dining area.

Cable and Internet are split three ways.

It's truly a special place and the price is great for the area!

Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to see the apartment!

$950, 1 Room, Furnished, Utilities Included, Roosevelt Island

$950 a month
Utilities Included
Fully Furnished
This room is available IMMEDIATELY

Brand new apartment on Roosevelt Island. About four or five blocks from the subway (F train, one stop away from Manhattan), the equivalent of about 66th street on the east side. The available room can fit a full-sized bed and desk/TV easily. Has a very large window and heater. Wooden floor. Room opens up into the living room.

The apartment and inhabitants:
The apartment is lofted in the sense that when you walk into it, you go up a short flight of steps to get into the space. It is super nice, affordable, and we have been there for two years already. Everything in the kitchen is new: the counter top, refrigerator, microwave, stove, cupboards, tiling. New floor in the living room. We have an LCD screen in the living room with a DVR and a couple of couches. And then the other two rooms are occupied by me and my roommate, respectively/obviously.

Two of us occupy the apartment right now. Our lease is up in June, and we don't know yet if we want to renew it or not. We are looking for someone to stay until June definitively. BUT, you have the option of staying past June, either by staying with us or renewing the lease yourself. If my roommate and I move, it is only because we would like to explore a new area in the city, this current apartment is great, and hard to say goodbye to.

Roosevelt Island:
It is kind of a city within a city. It is beautiful, quiet, clean, and very safe. There is no danger issue with arriving any time super late into the night/early morning (there is a public safety organization that patrols at all times of the day). Roosevelt Island's address is a Manhattan one.

I don't have much access to email these days. The best way to contact me is by phone. 570-269-1549. Please leave a voicemail with your name and phone number and I will get back to you. The room is available to be seen STRAIGHT AWAY. I can email pictures upon request.
