The Afternoon Improv Jam

#1
So how did it go? Were people pleased? Do folks feel like they got the chance to flex their improvisational muscles? Was there enough interest to support its return?

This is sad....

So am I to guess that *nobody* went to yesterday's (July 18) afternoon (1 to 3pm) improv jam at the UCB Theater?

Folks on this board seem downright hyperactive to discuss the relative merits of collecting bellybutton lint, but no one's willing to toss up a few comments about whether or not an improv jam in the afternoon is a good idea. Hmmmm.....

Personally, I think an improv jam is a great thing to have and I'm really glad that I got to cut my teeth at the infamous Friday night free-for-all that Billy Merritt used to host. While I couldn't make yesterday's (dayjob woes), if there was a regular afternoon improv jam, you could be sure that I'd start to rearrange my schedule and take longer lunch breaks on those days....

Small crowd.

Curtis, Berrebbi, Gemberling, Jane Borden, Spiro, Nick Mougis (got there late) John (Long hair can't remember his last name) and myself, with Margaret lending her ever faithful support.

I was totally going to be there. Took the day off of work and everything.

But damnit, my bed was so soft and comfortable. My alarm went off at 11am, I turned it off without thinking, and slept until 1:30pm.

I'm a fat, lazy bastard. Next time, I promise.

Okay, a small crowd, but it's a start. I certainly hope Brian Berrebbi tries this again (he was the organizer, right?). Did the folks who attended think it was worthwhile?

I was late. You try parking up in that bitch. I gotta start taking the train to these things. The five seconds I was there was fun though.
