Thank you, North Carolina!

Thanks to the Dirty South for being wonderful hosts this past weekend. We had an...awesome time, learned a lot, saw a lot of great improv. I have to say that my favorites (although I missed Thursday) of the weekend were The Other Side, Tony's Pony (wine in a can!), the Beatbox, and Cowboy and John. Everyone was fantastic, but those guys got a DVD purchase off of me. Again, great work North Carolina. I don't really see New York as a point in an improv triangle, so I'll say to keep up the good work in becoming point B in a straight line from Chicago.

Not to be picky - but...

Cowboy and John are from New York.

I also taught workshops at DSIF this weekend and everything I have learned has come from instructors in New York.

There are now numerous improv theaters in New York.

There are definitive differences in focus between Chicago and New York - which means both cities are furthering the art form.

Oh yeah - and most of the improvisers on this message board....are in New York.

Thank you!!

Joseph-

Thanks to you and HappyGAS!! Everyone from DSIF had a blast, and I am really glad that you were able to perform in North Carolina. Definitely check out www.implosionimprov.com in the next couple weeks for updates, introduce yourself on the message boards there, and let me know if you would be interested in a private board for HappyGAS.

Anthony King, Asaf Ronen, Cowboy and John, and The McKellog Report were from New York.... but thanks for promoting Chapel Hill!!!

Anthony is right about New York being spectacular and amazing.

That having been said, Chapel Hill is moving up in the world!! I've said this all over the place, but I had a spectacular time this weekend and learned my ass off... If such an activity is possible, and I'd do it all again in a heartbeat!

I  DSI!

Yeah, but New York gets to be #1 in everything. Besides, if New York was so great for comedy, Saturday Night Live would air there, not Toledo. I kid.

I'd also love to voice my sentiments about DSIF. It was such a fun time, and I learned so much just from watching the other performers. I hadn't laughed like that in a long time. It was, "Awesome. Coolcoolcool Awesome." We at Happy GAS totally appreciate the stage experience in front of our fellow improvisers, and enjoyed the supportive environment.

I'm from Minneapolis and I was there, so please start calling it an improv pentagon, at least. Thanks.

Hey, serious though, it was so terrific, and I had so much fun. YAY!

Let just have a bunch of congruent triangles which overlap in Flatland!

** walks away thinking of freshman improvisers in high schools across the country working hard in geometry AT (advanced topics, what up?!)
