Come to NYC this summer to study long form improv from the faculty at the UCB Theatre. Do two sessions of classes in just two weeks!

Summer Intensive Program:

Week 1 (Monday, June 2nd - Saturday, June 7th) will be an introduction to scenework for longform improv. Students will be taught the fundmentals of good scene work and learn how to find "the game of the scene."

In week 2 (Monday, June 9th - Saturday, June 13th), students will learn the the granddaddy of long-form improv--Del Close's groundbreaking form, Harold. Students will explore openings, multiple beat scenes, callbacks, connections and group mind.

The class will culminate in a performance on Sunday, June 14th at the UCB Theatre.

WHEN: Monday, June 2 - Saturday June 13th
(everyday except Sunday, June 8th)
11am - 3pm

WHERE: NYC - Location to be announced

COST: $600

Maximum class size is 16.

We are starting to get registrations for this. I expect that once places start to go, it will fill up fast.

By the way this is such a great way to get started with the UCB. Take levels 1 and 2 in two weeks and then start level 3 right away. You'll do in 10 weeks what it used to take 8 or 9 months to do.
