The Seattle Festival of Improvisational Theater (SFIT) strives to:
- Serve our audiences with the highest quality and variety of performances possible.
- Educate the audience as to the depth and variety of improvisational theater that is being currently produced.
- Provide the highest quality performing and teaching experience for our attending improv professionals.
- Provide opportunities for growth and networking to all participants.

Selections will be chosen based on the following selection criteria: Overall performance quality, originality and professionalism.
- Performance quality: do the performers demonstrate basic stagecraft skills? do they show familiarity with common principles of improv?
- Originality: does the performance show an exploration in formats, ideas and concepts?
- Professionalism: are the performers prepared? Is the show's presentation crisp and polished? Do the performers wear professional attire or costumes?


Performers
Submission Materials

We need the following:
- the application form (available on www.seattleimprov.com)
- a video or DVD of a performance (we will review only the first five to ten minutes of your tape or DVD – please take this into consideration when selecting your piece)
- the cast and crew who will attend
- a three or four-sentence description of your group
- a brief (two or three sentences) description of the show you intend to perform, particularly about how it's innovative
- your group's logo, a photo of your group, and headshots of all of the group members
- press materials, press clippings, etc., if you have them
- name, phone number, and e-mail address for a contact person for your group

Unfortunately, we will not be able to return any submitted materials.

with an application fee of $25. Please make your check or money order payable to "Seattle Festival of Improvisational Theater."

Deadline
All submission materials must be postmarked by 14 October 2006.

- a three or four-sentence description of each workshop you would like to teach
- your teaching resume
- a phone number (please indicate whether it's home, work, cell, or other)

Well... I said we'd extend submissions for a couple of weeks, and I wasn't lying. Due to popular demand SFIT is EXTENDING festival submissions until NOVEMBER 1st.

The submission fee is still just 25 bucks, but preference will be given to those who made the original deadline.

Performers and Instructors are still welcome! So get your ass-crap in a package and postmark it by 11/1. Submissions are also accepted online.

We have over 30 applicants so far, and more are piling in everyday.

For those of you who don't know, we are a festival that PAYS our performers and treats them like the improv gods they are.

So - if you want to come see some great work, and perform in both of our 200+ seat venues (which we fill for every show..) then apply to SFIT.
This is not a small breakout stage festival. This is the big time.
