2007 Seattle Festival of Improv Theater, Producer

The Seattle Festival of Improvisational Theater (SFIT) strives to:
- Serve our audiences with the highest quality and variety of performances possible.
- Educate the audience as to the depth and variety of improvisational theater that is being currently produced.
- Provide the highest quality performing and teaching experience for our attending improv professionals.
- Provide opportunities for growth and networking to all participants.
Selections will be chosen based on the following selection criteria: Overall performance quality, originality and professionalism.
- Performance quality: do the performers demonstrate basic stagecraft skills? do they show familiarity with common principles of improv?
- Originality: does the performance show an exploration in formats, ideas and concepts?
- Professionalism: are the performers prepared? Is the show's presentation crisp and polished? Do the performers wear professional attire or costumes?
Performers
Submission Materials
We need the following:
- the application form (available on www.seattleimprov.com)
- a video or DVD of a performance (we will review only the first five to ten minutes of your tape or DVD – please take this into consideration when selecting your piece)
- the cast and crew who will attend
- a three or four-sentence description of your group
- a brief (two or three sentences) description of the show you intend to perform, particularly about how it's innovative
- your group's logo, a photo of your group, and headshots of all of the group members
- press materials, press clippings, etc., if you have them
- name, phone number, and e-mail address for a contact person for your group
Unfortunately, we will not be able to return any submitted materials.
