Someone was randomly nice today.

I lost a bag of prescription meds a couple of days ago, causing me to freak out, and have to get them refilled (and repay for them). I think I'd left them in a cab or something.

Anyway, someone took the time to bring them back to my local pharmacy, unharmed.

I thought that was really pretty cool. Thanks, whoever you are.

Anyone else been the victim of random nice-ness today?

(Alternatively, anyone seen either of my two new scarves? One was hand made, I'm kind of bumming about that. Actually it may be at the UCB. Maybe I should start a new thread. It's pink and purple and fuzzy.)

Now that's a really great story GDW!!! You should try to find out who it is and try to thank them in person. If you lost anything recently at the UCB, you should PM Pat Baer and ask him nicely if he can look around the UCB for you.

We need more of this; not only the niceness but the acknowledgement.

The other day a guy in front of me in the grocery line left a bottle of soda behind so I ran after him and gave it to him and on my way back there were 2 carts rudely left behind, post-check-out, and I moved them out of the way for this old lady. Now, I didn't do this to get recognition or anything, I'm just saying.
I saw some guy on PBS say that people's ...measurable stress level, or blood pressure or something goes down just from seeing someone be nice like that.

I'm just saying, let's all be nice.

My favorite nice thing to do is to help the mother with two kids (or even 1 kid) carry her stroller up the subway stairs.
