I am a NYC based voice teacher who is also a musical improviser (currently play with Zamboni!) and I am teach a workshop called "Singing For Improvisers"
This is a general introduction to the basics of singing, and the goal is to work with each improviser/singer on their own level.
Goals of the workshop:
-Discover how to properly warm up the voice
-Learn about concepts in breathing
-Finding a forward/resonant placement to the voice
-Individual coaching on a 16 bar audition cut of a song
-Apply concepts learned while improvising a song
Saturday March 5th, 1-4pm
$45/person
