Should I totally back up my journal now?

Of course not. They do a daily backup of the site. Even if I have to change ISP's, your journal will move with the site. This seems to be a temporary problem, that I'm trying to find the right balance to, but my ISP is not doing a good job communicating to me what is precisely going on.

Yes, like an hour or so ago. After that, the server was "too busy" for a little bit.

I'm not complaining, but I just don't want to lose the journal. It'd be a good idea to back it up anyway. Any ideas on the best way to do this, short of cutting and pasting?

everytime i click on my improvisation.ws link i get the "account suspended" page. actually, whenever i try to go to improvisation.ws or improvresourcecenter.com i get that page. the only time i can get to the boards is if i use one of the links in the e-mails sent to me. so my question is. . . what's up? is this happening to anyone else?

ps- i even tried clicking on the link in the upper right hand corner of the screen and got the suspended page. what gives?

Type in http://www.improvsation.ws in your browser and tell me what happens. You might have the "suspended" page in your cache.

Incidentally, I have tried "returning" to the IRC several times over the last two weeks, but I rarely can get anything but a "Server is busy, try again later" message. So, after 3 or 4 tries, I got this board to load and I am spending my wad on reporting it.

Lulu, I think its a problem with your browser, not the board. If you are using Internet Explorer, go to "Tools" and click on "Internet Options". Then select "delete files" under "temporary internet files". Then try again.

Dan, are you using a Dial Up account? Are you always checking it at 4 in the afternoon? The server spikes I get are typically in the mid to late afternoon.

I think that once the Playboy article thingy dissapates, there will be fewer guests and things might quiet down.

I'm on a Network plugged into a monster server, and everything loads fine other than IRC.

I got the error message this morning, several times, between 9 and 10 am. I usually only surf from 8 am to 2 pm Central.
