SFIC: Skillshop, our new drop-in workshop series, coming in August!

The San Francisco Improv Co-operative is pleased to announce our new workshop series Skillshop. Building on our tradition of providing low cost workshops to Bay Area improvisers (Longform Lab, 6 Harolds), the Skillshop is a four week package of workshops, focusing on longform improvisation, that will take place on Saturdays in August. They can be taken individually, or cumulatively, and the workshops and instructors are:

- Week One: Improv for Performers - with Bryce Byerley (SFIC, The Babcocks). Learn to fill the room and avoid boring stage pictures. Bring vitality to your scenes through movement and physicality. Attack the stage. Saturday August 5th, 1-4pm

- Week Two: Find the Game - with Adam Koppell (Improv Revolution, Longform Lab). Learn to initiate scenes by finding and exploiting patterns. A new approach for those with story-based improv training. Saturday August 12th, 1-4pm

- Week Three: Cats Cradle & Other Formats - with Sam Shaw (SFIC, Improv Revolution). A longform structure involving "monoscenes", physical transformations, and strong group work. This workshop may also feature La Ronde and Armando. Saturday August 19th, 1-4pm

- Week Four: 6 Harolds - with Chris Hayes (SFIC, Revolution All-Stars). The SFIC's most popular workshop closes out our first Skillshop. 6 Harolds in a row equal a fun and grueling longform workout. Saturday August 26th - 1-6pm
