UNEXPECTED PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES 2005 AUDITIONS

Auditions for the Unexpected Productions Ensemble will be Thursday and Friday, January 20th and 21st, 2005 at TPS in the Seattle Center (4th floor Studios, Room D). They will be held from 6 - 10 PM in 30-45 minute increments.
Auditioners will audition in small groups, and need not prepare any material for the audition. Headshots and resumes will be accepted but are not required. Callbacks, if needed, will be held Saturday, January 22nd and/or Sunday, January 23rd from noon to 5pm.

Unexpected Productions is looking for a handful of dedicated, professional, and experienced improvisers to join our ensemble. Ensemble members receive a small stipend for all regular performances.

Unexpected Productions is Seattle’s longest running and most successful improvisational theater. In addition to TheatreSports™, they have produced City Life, the film noir Black Eyed Blonde, the styles based Half & Half, Campfire, and A(n Improvised) Christmas Carol and many more.

Founded in 1982 and moving into the Market Theater in 1991 Unexpected Productions has produced over 130 shows. They have developed a worldwide reputation for high quality improvisation having toured Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the US and Canada. In August of 2004, Unexpected Productions chosen by Ryan Stiles to be the improv troupe to open his Upfront Theatre in Bellingham, Washington, and U.P. continues to perform there regularly. Next year, U.P. will tour Europe for the eleventh year, and will present their improvised Shakespeare show, "Unexpected Shakespeare," at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival for a four-week run.

UP performs story based improvisational works every weekend at the Market Theater in the historic Pike Place Market.
