Scroll/Jump through multi-page threads

Hello - Is there an easy way to do get to the middle of a long thread without having to scroll in two or three page chunks? (My journal has gotten a bit too long to page through.) Is there some kind of page jump feature somewhere to get me to the middle?

also - can a journal or thread be too long, where it has to be stopped and started all over again? just curious.
