The two day improv intensive will focus on longform improvisation where students will explore in depth the concepts of finding agreement in scenes, heightening and playing to the top of their intelligence. They will also receive an introduction into playing the “game” of a scene and the important concept of “the straight man” in improv scenes. The intensive will culminate with students integrating these improv fundamentals into their scene work in the longform format “La Ronde” and Del Close’s “Harold” structure for an in-class performance.
