One of my room mates is moving out of our 4-bedroom loft in Williamsburg. It's a convenient five minute walk from the Bedford L stop. I get to Union Square in like 12 minutes sometimes. It's not the most comfortable (live/work zoning, amateur carpentry) or quiet (recycling plant accross the street) place. But it's a vibrant, pretty safe, and sometimes obnoxious neighborhood.
