Thrilling as it may be, we know keeping up with Rookie Card can be a hectic affair. That big show last Saturday night was sure a ball and you just can't wait to do it again with them on 10th at the Shubin but sometimes you ache for a more personal touch. That's why Rookie Card invites you get comfortable and relax your eight favorite improviser in a causal intimate setting.

Show up early and chat with the group. Go ahead, grab a cocktail. You deserve it. Maybe you'll even feel like getting on stage and jamming with us after our set.

Our special guests may be The Drexel Football Team but baby, this monday night, it's all about you...

If you weren't psyched enough by Rookie Card, Surf 'N Turf, and Bryan and Linksy, then you should know Doogie just posted a Facebook event with the full MOSJ line-up. I think it is going to be pretty freak-tacular.

The Ministry of Secret Jokes is Back, and it's Crabby

PERFORMING STANDUP: Anton Shuford, Luke Cunningham, and Pat Barker. Damn, girl.

MAKE A LEPRECHAUN CRY: Four brave comedians will verbally abuse a leprechaun until he bursts into tears or destroys them with his elvish magic. Shit, lady.

OMNIANA BATTLE: Battle of the Lukes! Luke Cunningham versus Luke Giordano; the winner gets to choose the loser's new name. Dagnabbit, woman!


Guys, it has a battle. A BATTLE! It is like the israeli-palestine conflict, but funny!

The show starts at 8pm, with MOSJ going on about 10:30. ALL THIS COMEDY FOR JUST $10 AMERICAN. Nice.

Came out of IRC retirement just to thank Rookie Card and Connie's Ric Rac for letting Surf 'n Turf do our thing in Philly. We had a blast as we always do in the City of Brotherly Wiz Wit and were happy to meet some new funny and friendly faces. Hope to see you all again soon!

Rookie Card is throwing a party- and you're invited! It's St. Patrick's Day. Oh, and Frankie's birthday, and our first anniversary, the first quarter,and whatever else you may enjoy.

Join Rookie Card as we play host to two amazing improv groups from New York City, an open improv jam, and the legendary Ministry of Secret Jokes. Come for the improv, stay for the stand-up show Phillyist calls "Philly's premier alternative comedians at play." The comedy wraps up around midnight, but we'll be continuing the fun with music and revelry until late into the night.

The line up:

Bryan and Linsky - Duo from the acclaimed Magnet Theater
Surf 'n Turf - NYC's most dangerous and delicious improv comedy
Rookie Card -Ol' time Philadelphia improv
Open Improv Jam - Anyone can play and anything can happen.
Ministry of Secret Jokes - hosted by Doogie Horner

All this for just $10! Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. BYOB, so bring your beer!
