Experience the best musical never written. Jonathan Maximus Rockenstern Presents takes a musical title suggestion from the audience and improvises a full-blown musical comedy filled with romance, drama, intrigue and, of course, Broadway-belty songs. It's long-form improvising meets Rogers and Hammerstein... but not as gay. Featuring MB, Michael Jeffrey Cohen, Isser Gallogly, Jeff Hiller, Mike Hvizdo, Erika Kern, Anne Nodar and Julie Tudor. Directed by Brian Fountain and Hector Coris. Accompanied by Hector Coris, Josh Sitron and Amy Kohn.

X Plus One, everyone's second-favorite improvised science fiction radio show, is Tony Carnevale, Andrew Dickerson, Rachel Korowitz, Anne Nodar, Chris Schneider and Joe Wengert.

- Tickets $8

So many of you have come to see our show and said nice things about it. We appreciate you and we're excited to have another month to entertain you. If you haven't caught the show yet, we're ready for you!

Hey, I returned to the X Plus One cast last night after a two-week hiatus. And Goldfish Boy ("Michael Jeffrey Cohen" to his agent) blew me away. From the moment he stepped onstage he owned it. Rockenstern was great to begin with, but thanks to the PIT's extremely generous offer of what has become at least a three-and-a-half month run, they've developed into seasoned veterans, and their shows are all the better for it.

My group has made similar strides. I am amazed when I think of where X Plus One started and what we do today. It's a completely different show now. And we would never have gotten to this point without performing almost every week for almost a year. UCBT, the old Slow Motion, Sweet Thursday, and LIMP shows, and now the PIT.

Our audiences in the last few weeks have filled the PIT.

I am very happy that my teammates, who have worked so long and so hard on this show, have this chance to do what they love in front of such a good audience.

If the PIT cancelled our run next week I would be smiling, because I've gained so much from X Plus One already. I can only hope that my teammates and friends, Andrew, Rachel, Chris, Anne, and Joe, have gained as much as I. I think they have.

(And I'm also happy to have given our array of guest stars a chance at some X Plus One fun-- thanks, Stan, Chris, Sarah, and Jeff! Be prepared to perform with us again!)

Every time I think X Plus One can't get any better, it gets better. And the exquisite Sarah Burns helped ring the changes with her hilarious guest appearance last week. I love that Rockenstern shares a run with this team, because I get to watch them every week. The best is yet to come.

Are you the one who missed Anne Nodar's uber-chic shoe store owner say to her two castmates, Julie and Erika: "I LOVE IT! Mother/daughter! Young/Old! Deformed/...old!"

Did you miss Jeff Hiller and Julie Tudor's amazing interpretive dance to Anne Nodar's "Shoe Shop"?

Or the entirety of Cohen's miserable cobbler?

And, good lord, you didn't miss Sarah Burns's star turn as Oscar-winning guest star, Maeve Potter in X Plus One's dazzling drama set on a planet called SinFreeLand, did you?

Because, my Christ! Stop doing that!

It keeps only getting better and funner and more well!

Don't miss the chance to hear the sweet melodies of Erika Kern! She's going away after this weekend and you will NOT have a good June without her voice in your head.

Seriously, the gal can SANG.

And check out the bios of the X Plus One cast. On a thread somewhere in this forum. (I don't know how to link to a thread.)

This is tomorrow night!

Come and tell Erika in person that she can't leave for any reason! (Not even for a film co-starring actor's actor Conrad Bain, which may or may not be the reason she's leaving!)

Erika's departure is temporary, we're assured; it's too bad she has to leave in mid-run, but we'll welcome her back later this summer. However, tomorrow night's Rockenstern show is her last in June. You see, she has this lifelong dream to storm out of a group in a huff, and we're just too nice to say no to her.

A musical for $8!

We cut out the writer and pass the savings on to you.

Plus, if you order now, we'll throw in X Plus One--a $20 value, as anyone who's seen it will testify--absolutely free!

One thing we love about our show is that people come back to see it again. (and we heart you, whether you've seen us once...or x+1 times)

It's hard to see it again, though, if you haven't yet seen it for the first time. So why not give us a try this weekend? We'll help put you in a good pre-Father's Day mood.

I want to live in the Unconditional Love Pound!

And I want to take with me the Rockenstern Greatest Hits CD which would surely include two songs from Saturday’s show, “Unconditional Love Pound” and “I Ask Ya,” Michaela’s soul-searching inquiry into whether she is cruel enough as a dog pound owner.

If I had this CD, I would also have “Let the Hormones Rip,” sung by Jeff’s teenage-girl’s pituitary gland; I would have that lovely duet of Erika and Michaela from “Keepin’ It Real,” as their two high school girls wondered when or whether they would find love; and what wouldn’t I have from “The Taking of Colchester”?!?

But then again, there is no Rockenstern CD. These songs only live in the minds and memories of those who go to the PIT on Saturdays at 8:00. Be one of them; it makes your life happier.

Mr. Kwako was in a movie. If you see X Plus One and Rockenstern, you'll see someone who was in a movie!

It's a good show. Lauren Snyder likes us. Maybe not now that I used her name without permission. But she did like us, before.

This is seriously one of the best shows going right now and I'm proud for the PIT to be a part of it. Keep on rockin it, X Plus Rockenstern!!!
