Rehearsal space madness

#1
What the heck, you guys? I just called the big two (Ripley-Grier and Champion), and they're both fully booked a week in advance. I usually book a mere 54 hours before practice. Is there such a thing as a spring rehearsal rush, like some kind of theatrical tornado season? I'm out of the loop here, right?

So I'm extremely naive, and for the last few months I've just had a really great lucky street which is finally running out.

I guess it never rains but it pours. Last week when I bought a new metro swipe it cost $81 instead of $76. Somehow I've been saving $5 a month for the last year and a half, but now I'm paying what normal people pay.

I to have noticed an increase in difficulties at getting spaces. But I think it might just be the standard post-new year's projects and classes and such.
