Today is the official launch of the Red Band Network, which is a coalition of indie alt comedy podcasts. The basic idea is to help build an audience for comedy podcasts that aren't run by name L.A. comedians, and are maybe a bit more experimental. It also allows for the opportunity of advertisers while still allowing the podcaster to have complete creative control.
Our podcasts right now have featured guests such as Megan Neuringer , Chris Gethard, Normal Bob Smith the creator of the Jesus Dressup Doll, David Bluvband, Pam Murphy, and tons more indie stand ups, improvisers, sketch writers and so on. If you host a podcast yourself, or have been interested in doing so, you probably wanna check us out. We will even help set you up.
