Improv Resource Center - Forums

I should have posted this here last week, but the charity aspect was put into affect (at my 8-year-old's insistence) just over the last few days and I don't normally plug shows to other improvisors.

Hurricane Benefit for two weekends

The Raleigh Village Idiots return to the stage September 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 10th in their 54th revue; featuring the return of their unedited long-form bonus set!

Proceeds from Idiot shows normally go to purchase Twinkies for the group, but all proceeds this month will go to The American Red Cross for disaster relief to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Our (approximately) 90 minute 8PM show is family-friendly, as is fitting for our teaching theatre. However, give us about 10 minutes to rest, and then adults are welcome to stay for a bonus set. We will come back with 20-30 minutes of long-form comedy, unedited for content. (This bonus set may not be appropriate for the whole family due to topics that may arise in our exploration of the evening's theme.)

All shows are at the North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre. For directions, info, or reservations call 919-866-0228 or visit www.nract.org. Shows start at 8:00 and cost only $5 to get in. Additional donations made out directly to the American Red Cross will be accepted (and Red Cross will send receipts for tax purposes). Cookies provided by Food Lion as a thank you for your donation.
