Dude won't return his publicist's phone calls. Anyone know of another travel writer who the general intelligent public has heard of?
Thanks,

I've alway thought of the humorist PJ O'Rourke a travel writer, although his beat was war zones. See : Holidays in Hell.

I recently skimmed a book by Bill Geist : Discovering the Peculiar Charms of Small-Town America.

Doesn't Chris Gethard qualify as a travel writer since he wrote the book Weird New Jersey?
