Hey there everyone, Braggy McBraggersons here...
many of you don't know that for the last two years or so I have been working on a feature length documentary on the origins of poverty. Why does poverty it persist when there is so much wealth in the world?
I came up with the idea for the film and wrote its first treatment. Coming from a tv development background I figured I could fake a film proposal fairly well. I cold called production companies and secured total funding and got a distributor. I ended up with a Producer credit but had my hand on the rudder of the film along the way.
Crazy. My first film. Well the film called "The End of Poverty?" won an award at Cannes "Official Selection of the 2008 Cannes Film Festival - Critics Week."
This is crazy since Cannes doesn't really show documentaries (only three this year). It also was the only film to have a panel discussion at the festival as well as anchoring the first annual "Cinema and Politics Day" at Cannes.

It will hopefully be in theaters between the election and the end of the year unless we get accepted at Sundance.
