Umm...the passport authority doesn't allow photo booth pics. Sorry Matt. Go to the nearest camera/development/framing shop. They'll set you up. And force you not to smile. Good luck!
This might not be a problem anymore, but you should look up the (relatively) new passport photo format and make sure the place you go to complies. They probably all do by now but you never know.
I took my own, just using a standard digital camera and white background (a wall). Not sure if this helps much, but if you're looking to save cash it can be done.
