In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the first cross-country road
trip, and in conjunction with the upcoming Ken Burns documentary, Horatio's
Drive:
America's First Road Trip, PBS is providing aspiring amateur moviemakers a
chance to share their most memorable summer adventures with a national television
audience.
Using a uniquely personal interpretation of the perfect "Road Trip,"
entrants are encouraged to submit a brief video essay of three minutes or
less and a
synopsis for consideration, to be judged equally on creative concept,
technical ability sound and dialogue. The grand prize winner's film will air
nationally on PBS. In addition, the winner will have the chance to join Ken Burns for a day in
NYC.
Participants must complete the entry form and submit via U.S. Mail to
